The National Consensus Project Quality in Palliative Care Award is presented annually to recognize organizations which have enhanced their palliative care services by implementing palliative care principles espoused by the National Consensus Project for Quality Palliative Care (NCP, http://www.nationalconsensusproject.org) and the National Quality Forum (NQF, http://www.qualityforum.org). Up to eight NCP Quality in Palliative Care Award winners will be selected in Fall, 2008. The awards are supported by the Mayday Fund, based in New York City, in conjunction with the NCP.
